Canada chooses skilled immigrants as permanent residents based on their ability to settle in Canada and take part in Canadian economy.
The Federal Skilled Worker category is prescribed as a class of persons who are skilled workers, who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada, and who intend to reside in a province other than Quebec.
Express Entry is a new system to manage how people with skilled work experience apply to immigrate to Canada.
How does it work?
It’s simple! Potential candidates will complete an online Express Entry profile providing information about their:
- Skills
- Work Experience,
- Language Proficiency
- Education
- Other Details
Those who meet the criteria of one of the federal immigration programs (Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trade or Canadian Experience Class) will be accepted into a pool of candidates.
